Mediation Fees
1. For a two party half day mediation (up to 3.5 hours) $2,900.00*
2. For a two-party full day mediation (up to 7 hours) $4,900.00*
3. For each additional party $400.00/party/day
4. For extending the mediation beyond 3.5 hours for a half day and 7 hours for a full day $450.00 per hour
5. Travel time outside of GTA only charged at $225 per hour and only for actual travel time and not for waiting at the airport.
Cancellation Policy and Fees
Cancellation fees:
1. For cancellation occurring between 8** and 14 days prior to the mediation:
(i) Half day mediation $1,500.00 plus any incurred disbursements
(ii) Full day mediation $2,500.00 plus any incurred disbursements
2. For cancellation occurring 7 days or less prior to the mediation: The full fee plus any incurred disbursements.
HST will be charged in addition on all quoted fees.
*These fees include unlimited preparation time for the mediation.
**Includes both the day of the mediation and the day the cancellation is made. For example, if a mediation scheduled for a Tuesday is cancelled before midnight the previous Tuesday the 8 to 14 day cancellation charge applies.
Pro Forma Mediations
If you book a mediation solely for the purpose of obtaining a failed mediation report, then the charge for the mediation conducted by phone or Zoom will be $500 plus any incurred disbursements. If a booked mediation is converted into a pro forma mediation more than 14 days before its scheduled date, then the $500 charge applies plus any incurred disbursements. In these circumstances only, the $500 charge will be credited against the charge for a mediation of the same dispute held within 6 months of the originally scheduled date.
